Loren: This quote, that jacket

"There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: the fashionable non-conformist." - Ayn Rand

Errm, I totally agree with the above quote, but seeing as this jacket combines two trends that I love - military and plaid.....does that mean I am being a conformist to unfashionable trends, or am I a non-conformist that is unfashionable or am I a fashionable conformist?

My teeny tiny brain hurts.
Can I just say that I love this jacket, and if it wasn't $819 it would be in my sweaty hands faster than you can say "awesomeness"?

tilly: above water, you and me, breathing

It's about just under 2 hours since Loren and I got off Skype with each other. I got an email from her earlier after coming back from dinner saying she has to complain. I can't wait!

She didn't complain much. But what and how much can you expect 2 silly-headed, mildly crazy females to do with the actions of a boy/man but to dissect it, re-arrange it, dislike current arrangement, dissect again, re-arrange. Repeat process about 50 million times. And it's still not done. It is worse than the 3rd Matrix, worse than the 4th Fast and Furious.

I am quite hmmm...conflustered? When it comes to...Patrick. And might I add that my current/past experiences doesn't help Loren one bit. I wish I had a better answer. Better yet, I wish I could read minds. It would do me and Loren alot of good.

On the flipside, I have no idea how Loren keeps so calm and cool depsite what is happening. My mind went off the rails when pseudo-boyfriend actions started pouring out of Jon's pores. If you were following my little drama-fiasco, Jon = Anon = Richard = the million names made up for him. From herewith, he is Jon. Only for my benefit because I cannot keep up with the multitude of pseudo-names. I used pseudo because I like that word. Pseudo! Pseudo! Pseudo! Just like Lor loves the word avant garde.

I don't know if this is how "avant garde" looks like in Loren's head when she says it. Ah well.

I also don't know what is the point of this post. I have made plans to cook dinner with a friend tomorrow but a major part of me wants to hibernate. I don't feel like working tomorrow. I feel like I need a break. What for???

I should sleep. And I leave you with this.

Practice your pouts!!! You'll be on camera one day!

tilly: because i want to

I'm thinking Loren and I should have mobile posting. But then this would mean that you'll only be getting little minute posts from me, therefore cluttering this blog to resemble something out of Twitter.

Which serves to remind me that it has been 2 galaxy years since Loren and I have spoken. No we are not having a cold war...

Are we??? Did I not know???

Hehe - no we are not. I think about Loren everyday. Whether she is having to eat. Whether hell has risen over for her. Whether she is sleeping ok. And many other "whethers". It's all come down to differing times. Especially sleeping times. And also yours truly here has been a bit of a hermit. Still wishing for the craziness away. And also as you would have known from the previous post that Loren's parents are here. In between sorting out the lives of Brother Dick and this and that plus the praying that goes on, there is simply no time to come on the internet. Hah!

I was going to post a word-less entry comprising of just shoes, for the benefit of Loren so that there is something happy for her to look at when she comes online but then I decided against it because it would most likely cause her more pain. Only because we have no money to buy any of them.

Ramble ramble - on another note, tilly and the sister went to catch Star Trek last night. It was suprisingly good. And I find myself liking the lean, mean and tall kind of body. Not lanky, not beefy. Just right. Just watch the new Star Trek and check out Spock and Captain Kirk.

I managed to add a little piccie of the both of them. Left - Spock aka Sylar from Heroes aka Zachary Quinto. Right - Captain Kirk aka guy from Princess Diaries 2. I could not get a full shot of the both of them in this position but they both looked very nice, body-wise. And might I say that the stark cheekbones on Spock looks very ... nice. =)

This might spark my only-celeb-crushes back online. And that is fine by me. They are better than anything real-life. Ask Loren. Mention my non-existent existent love life and you get a pretty gigantic face-palm.

Speaking of celebs, I think the celeb most like me is Kanye West. ONLY because he loves LV as much as I do. He will wear anything LV. He is always spotted with something LV. Check Jak&Jil for proof. Alas, that is where our similarities end.

And I will leave you with this new song from Beyonce feat. Kanye West - Ego Remix.

P.S. Lor, I want to walk down the streets of New York with you with this song in our heads...talking BIG because WE CAN BACK IT UP.

Loren: Either or.

Instead of telling you how I've been waiting on train platforms with Parents, and fantasized throwing myself in front of trains.....here is the always sigh-pretty Cruise collection from Christian Dior, which is a little low key compared with their previous collections. I suppose after hearing about Emma Cook, Veronique Branquinho and Christian Lacroix declaring bankruptcy...John Galliano is being cautious with his designs, especially since it is difficult to figure out the shifting mindset of the luxury good consumer.

That being said, I find it a trifle difficult to put the words 'cautious' and 'John Galliano' in the same sentence...kind of like trying to shove my head through a wall and gouging out my eyes at the same time. A teensy bit tricky.

However, playing it safe and being cautious seems to be the mantra of (almost) everyone in the fashion biz. In the glaring dilemma of today's economy, its no surprise or shame to admit that you're cutting costs, but Christian Dior is remaining adamant that they are impervious to the recession. Even though they have changed the location of their latest couture show to their modest headquarters on 30 Avenue Montaigne, - which lets face it, even a blind dude can tell is way less extravagant than their previous tented location in the gardens of Rodin Museum - their CEO's explanation for the first change in ten years as "We want to do it in this house again to feel at Dior. We really want to transport the spirit."

Considering that there was a 2.8 percent drop in profits last year and purported 8 percent dip in revenues for the first quarter of 2009, all I can guess is that CD is probably going to use a pick up truck to "transport the spirit", you know, just for the rustic charm.

tilly: i bought this

I bought this - at a very friendly price of NZD$99.99.

One of the rare few times where my shoes are in the double figures.

And then I saw these on shoelust:

Which makes me look at mine and think that they are bit bare.  But I have no craft skills to make them become the pieces of art that they could possibly be.
